We want to guide our interns down a path to put them in control of their business future so that they can achieve the goals they set for themselves.

Often, but not always, this can results in a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship with our company. We gain fresh ideas and theoretical knowledge. The interns gain the experience that completes their education and gives them the power to walk in a door and produce results immediately.

All interns start as junior interns. Junior interns are brought on without pay and have an end-date set for their internship. We hope that before the end of their internship their work justifies a promotion to a senior internship.

When promoted to senior interns, we often set a new date for the end of their internship. (It can be the same date but does not have to be.) Senior internships come with additional responsibilities and pay. At the end of an internship a senior intern is welcome to reapply to extend their internship and may or may not be accepted depending on circumstances. At any point in their senior-internship when their work justifies it, the intern may be offered a part-time or full-time job if their work status and class schedule allow for this. If the intern needs help with a work status concern we have experience in addressing these issues and knowing what can and cannot be done including H-1 sponsorship if needed.

We try to be mindful of class hours to allow interns to complete their degrees. Note that we said complete their degree, not complete their education. We believe that you should never stop learning.

This policy works because we have the visibility and experience to monitor the work that is being done, and we care about our people. We always want to be fair to our people so that we can keep them. We know that is not always possible, but we also believe that if we are fair to our people at every level while they are working for us, they will be our advocates and partners in their future work life.
